I find this mostly indica strain provides excellent pain relief and is perfect for a night of calming euphoria and deep, restful sleep.
While Gorilla Glue #4 is usually a 60% indica / 40% sativa hybrid this strain is 70% indica / 30% sativa. The breeder, Emerald Triangle, added the powerful indica strain Critical Bilbao (also called Critical Bilbo).

(Sour Diesel x Sour Dubble x Chems Sister x Chocolate Diesel) x Critical Bilbao
This is a good example of why it can be difficult to choose seeds. The four strains in parenthesis are the original hybrid forbearers and this breeder has added Critical Bilbao, also referred to as C. Bilbo, an award winning, high THC indica strain.

Gorilla Glue #4 weed was developed by GG Strains and is a cross of Sour Dubble, Chocolate Diesel, and Chem’s Sister. It is a multi-award-winning strain, having taken first place in both the Michigan and Los Angeles 2014 Cannabis Cups, in addition to achieving an award at the prestigious High Times Jamaican World Cup. It’s no surprise then that patients, stoners, casual smokers, and 420-lovers all want a taste of what Gorilla Glue #4 has to offer.
Although it is often classified as a balanced hybrid, you can get cuts that are either slightly indica or sativa dominant. According to legend, the Gorilla Glue #4 strain’s existence is a complete accident and was created when a Sour Dubble plant was pollinated by a hermaphrodite Chem’s Sister plant, producing a plant that couldn’t be utilized.
This mishap crop was quickly destroyed, but by crossing some of the leftover seeds from this situation with Chocolate Diesel, it resulted in a masterpiece that was embraced promptly in medical marijuana circles.
