This is one of my favorite strains. Easy to clone, good growth habit in a tent and gives me a harvest of potent (27% THC on first crop) flowers. The high is amazing, nice lift at first and continues to give me an energetic feeling for hours.

Genetics: Thai Chiang Mai x Malawi Killer [Malawi is a pure sativa strain that comes from the Salima region of Malawi in southeast Africa.]
Golden Tiger from Ace Seeds is a resinous flower created from two Thai strains and two separate Malawi cuts. Bred by Ace Seeds, this pure sativa flower is a complex blend of Koh Chang Thai and Hmong Thai crossed with Malawi and 3rd Generation Malawi. This powerful sativa is not for beginners, as it offers long-lasting stimulating effects often with a potent psychedelic bent. With a terpene profile that is bright with notes of floral spice and tart lemon, its vigorous physical and mental effects make this a sativa of the highest caliber. This strain’s long sativa lineage comes with a long 11 to 14 week flowering time.
To achieve this, we have introduced the new and excellent Thai Chiang Mai (Thai sativa that had not been used in the previous breeding of Golden Tiger, and that is producing excellent results in all the breeding projects in which it is being involved) into the breeding with Malawi, producing a new, third version of Golden Tiger (Thai/Malawi) as a result, where the influence of the Thai genetics dominates over Malawi.
This translates into a more cerebral, cleaner high and less heavy body effects within the trippy and devastating psychoactivity of these extremely potent sativas from Malawi and Thailand. The greater Thai influence also implies less dense floral structures and slightly longer flowering times, although this 3rd version continues to offer the usual extreme effects and yields of our Golden Tiger.
Culture
This is a very heavy feeder that needs 25% more nutrients added to the solution until the plant is harvested. When using normal levels of nutrients I was getting some yellowing of the leaves at the start of flowering. Adding more nutrients showed immediate improvements.
Fast growing, you need to keep the plant from producing too many side stems when flowering starts to allow plenty of light and room for the lower flowers to grow.
